The Giza Complex in Egypt, home to the Pyramid of Cheops, the only remaining of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was the stage chosen for the latest challenge of Brazilian Alexandre Sartorato, an ultramarathon runner who began his second Round the World voyage on March 31, 2025. At 52 years of age, the athlete from Cubatão, São Paulo, will run more than two marathons a day to complete a route through 30 countries on five continents in six months. He will cover 15,000 kilometers on foot, in addition to distances by air over the oceans.
